A Month of Thankfullness

I've been planning to post my "Today, I'm thankful for.." entries from Facebook & Twitter for a while now so with it being the last day of November (okay, I'm jumping the gun by a mere 25 minutes!) I figured I can post them now. (:

Day 1- So, today I'm thankful for this little girl sitting by me (Ally). I know I tease her & probably get on her nerves pretty bad but the next thing you know, she's looking up at me saying "Best friends?" & giving me hugs & kisses. I just love her very much (:


Day 2- Today I'm thankful for a nice, warm, comfortable bed that I did NOT want to get out of just now.


Day 3- Today, I am thankful for my family. They are crazy, fun, hilarious & at times so very annoying but I always will love them!


Day 4- Today, I'm thankful for the Lord. Without whom, I wouldn't be here, having the amazing life that I do! Thank you Lord!


Day 5- Today, I'm thankful for my best friends also. They showed up just when I thought I had no one left! So here's to Brett, Bail, Hil & Alexis!


Day 6- Today, I'm thankful that 15 years ago, the Lord healed me of asthma & saved my life! I can never repay Him for all He's done for me! PTL!


Day 7-Today I am thankful for my church. We've been through a wholeee lot the last 6 months but things are looking up! I love those guys so much!


Day 8- Today, I'm thankful for Twitter bff's! Like @crisseyjill, @jakeatchley & @jmcain23 (even though I actually get to hang with her) <3 (:


Day 9- Today, I'm thankful for my Grandmother. She's the only grandparent I have left & I love her so much!


Day 10-Today, I'm thankful for sunrises. New days, new beginnings.


Day 11-Today, I am thankful for Veterans. I have many family members who have/are serving our country & I'm so proud! Love you guys!


Day 12-Today I am thankful for sunsets. I love when a really good one can totally make your day


Day 13-Today I'm thankful for my raising. It's different from a lot of people but I wouldn't have it any other way!


Day 14-Today, I'm thankful for doctors, nurses, orderlies & others in the medical field. Glad God gave them the smarts & heart to do what they do!


Day 15-Today, I am thankful for cold medicine...I absolutely hate being sick!


Day 16-Today, I am thankful that the Lord watches over us. A little over 6 months ago He watched over my family & I pray he does that again, today!


Day 17-Today, I'm thankful for (help from Ally here) "my puter" like hers. She says she messes up, but she loves her "puter "...amen


Day 18-Today, I'm thankful for good friends that I love to spend time with! We always have a blast & laugh til we cry & it's the best! Stoked for girl's night! (:


Day 19-Yesterday, I was thankful for Genghis & nice looking waiters named Zach.

Day 20-Today, I am thankful for wonderful dreams that really let you know things. I had the sweetest dream ever this morning(:"


Day 21-Today I'm thankful for NACC professors! They do everything they can to help us get ready for the outside world & learn what we need to know in 2 years!

Day 22-Today, I'm thankful for my brother. I know I don't act like it sometimes...he drives me crazy & I might upset him every once in a while...lol And just about everyone knows we fight like cats & dogs...all.the. time. But in the end, I know I can go to him if I need to talk or if I just wanna chill watching a movie. I love him a lot...& not just because I have to. He's really a best friend to me. So here's to you, Blake. ♥

Day 23-Today I am thankful that we are finally getting back into our church after almost 7 months! It's been a long drawn out thing but it's been worth it...I know it looks amazing & I'll probably post pics when I get

Day 24-Today I am so very thankful for my ginormous family of wonderful cooks whom I shall be celebrating this wonderful day with in just a little bit. Good friends, wonderful family, fun, fun, fun (: haha


Day 25- Today, I'm thankful that we did NOT go Black Friday shopping all night. A few hours in Wal-Mart & I was DONE. I'm also thankful for family time. Chilled with my parentals this morning & with my brother & Grandmother this evening. Very nice (:


Day 26- Today, I am thankful for old friends! I love that I'm still close to some of the ones I graduated with...Nashville for Aly's birthday!


Day 27-  Today, I'm thankful to have a church to go to again! Spent the whole day at Brown's Chapel & it was absolutely FINE with me! Red Lobster after church with Aunt Connie & Uncle Larry wasn't so bad either (:


Day 28- Today, I am thankful that I got called in to Sweet Peas. It was my first time working there...it was rough but it was so much fun & I met some really cool & cute little kids. (:


Day 29- Today, I am thankful for SNOW! Yes, it was only a little & some don't consider it snow but it was white fluffy stuff falling from the sky & it actually stuck around for a while so it was nice!


Day 30- Today, I am thankful that the Lord blessed me with another fabulous month of life. I can only hope he'll give me many more & make them just as good & better than this one has been! Happy December everyone! (:

It's been quite a long week...

So last time I updated ya'll, it was LAST Monday & we had taken Dad to the doctor about what we THOUGHT was his heart but ended up being fluid around his lungs.

So I guess I'll start with Tuesday. Well, Tuesday I got up & went to work as usual, it was day 3980986 with a cold so I was NOT feeling it. At all. But after I got home, I went on to Zumba...it was pretty rough. lol That night when I got home, my wonderful friend Morgan text me & reminded me to go pre-register for Spring classes at NACC. I was so glad she did cause I have a TERRIBLE memory. I went online & got 2 of the 3 classes I had to have to finish my Medical Assistant Certification...so I emailed my teacher & hopefully I can get into the last one I need! Pray that I can...I'm so ready to be done for a while!!!

Wednesday morning, I got up (hearing all about severe storms, terrified it would be another April 27! But thankfully God took care of us!) & we picked up Dakota from school to take him to meet Aunt Stephanie. I talked to the school about hopefully subbing some (did you know it costs $80 ish dollars to even get started?!) so hopefully I can start that in January! After dropping Dakota off at Unum, me & mom went to donate blood (me, for the first time!) It was actually kinda fun. lol I know, I'm morbid. It was weird seeing THAT much of my own blood coming out of me...& I admit, the wall kinda started moving at one time but I shook it off. lol Overall, it was a good experience. The people at Blood Assurance are so sweet & they acted like they had known us for ages! I loved it & I definitely plan on donating again in a couple of months...even though it's almost been a week & I STILL have a bruise on my arm. That evening I went to class & it was okay...we went over some stuff for finals & that was good..I was glad Mrs. Walker was telling us what it would be on. lol Even if there are 150 & she's only choosing 50...oh boy.

Thursday morning I went to work again & was tweeting when I saw that Shelby had mentioned going to see Breaking Dawn. I usually don't go to the theaters but I was like eh, what the mess. I've seen all of the Twilight movies so far & I'm hoping this will be the last chance I get to go (you guys know why!) so I decided to go with her. We had a GREAT time. The movie was AMAZING & I'm not just saying that..I usually think the Twilight actors are the WORST actors in Hollywood but they really did good this time...almost believable..you know, if vampires, werewolves & crazy babies that are born full term in 2 months instead of 9 months was believable. lol We went to the 12:45 am showing (I know, we're crazy!) and I got home around 4:30. It was the first time I had ever drove home that late at night (or morning, whatever) so I was feeling pretty weird. Especially since I drank a energy drink on the way home...have you ever been SO exhausted but super hyped up at the same time? Yeah, it felt kinda like that.

Friday morning I slept until about noon..I was so exhausted still! lol I got up & cleaned up a little. We were supposed to hang out in Chattanooga some, but there was gonna be like all girls so we decided to just go to Shelby's & have girls night. It was so much fun! Shelby made some pretty awesome lasagna & her infamous cookie thing with ice cream & it was so good! We tried to watch Water for Elephants but that was too serious of a movie to watch with 5 girls (me, Brett, Bailey, Lindz & Shelby) so we just popped in a comedy & died laughing for the next 2 hours. I ended up falling asleep on the couch around 1 am I believe...I was sleep deprived. And the others stayed up a while.

Saturday morning I jumped up & went to my house to get ready to go to Chattanooga & eat lunch & "shop til we drop" lol I didn't shop, I just walked around...I gotta save up for Christmas guys! lol But we went to eat at Genghis & our waiter was a cutieeee lol He looked like James van der Beek (Dawson, from Dawson's Creek for all you young 'uns. lol) It was fun watching Lindz fill her bowl & eat there for the first time. That place is so cool! (You get a little bowl, put all the raw meat, seasonings, & vegetables you want in it, & they cook it with fried rice, steamed rice, lo mein or whatever...it's delicious! & pretty cheap!) I  love it. (: After that, we went to Shoe Carnival, Hamilton Place (where Lindz & Bailey got to see our HUGE amazing Forever 21 for the first time!...it was just a day of firsts for them! lol) & finally we went to get Shelby's acrylic nails taken off...we ended up there for like an hour. lol We then headed back to Shelby's & I headed home & to church. Found out we should be getting our benches Tuesday so we'll be able to get in the church by Wednesday if all goes well! So we're all stoked about that! (: Church was very short so me, Mom & Dad went to get food from Sonic & I was in the bed by 10. (EARLY for me!)

Sunday morning I had planned to go to Oak Grove but found out they weren't having church. Then I was going to go to Hazel Green with Aunt Tamara & Grandmother but I didn't have time to get ready. So we were just gonna go to Brown's Chapel. Well, I got outta the shower & started getting ready & Mom & Dad decided we'd just stay home...okay! lol We watched the Green Hornet & I took a longgg nap (like 4 hours.) & we got up to get ready for church Sunday night. Church was good, Uncle Larry talked & a few testified. He dismissed without even altar call so I went home & met Blake (Blake has been in Birmingham working all weekend) & we went to eat with the young folk! We had a good turn out at Rafael's & had a BLAST. It was a great time (: On the way home we picked up a movie from Red Box & watched that when we got home...then I went to bed pretty quick again.

This morning I got up, got ready to go to a doctor's appointment to get some more insulin (In case you didn't know, yes, I'm diabetic) & then we bought a new entertainment center for our TV & everything! YAY! It's gonna look amazing..we pick it up Wednesday & I'm stoked! Anyhow, other than that, it's been a pretty boring day...OH I did bedazzle my phone! hahaha. It's pretty cute. (:

What a day...

Well, about 8:30 this morning my Mom woke me up saying Dad's chest was hurting while he was at work (it's been hurting him off & on the past few days)...it wasn't as bad as he had been hurting Saturday night but it was still feeling very tight. So after much convincing, we got him to go to the ER around 11. We got to Memorial around 12 & just got home a few minutes ago! We were there over 7 hours! Crazy! They actually got him back pretty fast, but me & Blake stayed out in the waiting room while they were back in the back room & it was so boring. lol Blake slept most of the time which left me to play Fruit Ninja & Tea Pong (not gonna call it what it really is..lol) on my phone. But believe it or not, even smart phones get old. Thankfully, I thought to bring my phone charger & a book...The Help...just in case I got super bored. So I ended up reading part of the time. By the time Blake woke up, I told him to stay awake so I could hopefully take a nap. About 20 minutes in, Mom text saying Dad was getting to go home (The nurse had said he'd probably have to stay the night!) I'm really thankful he didn't have to stay...I know how hard that is on people. Seems like it makes you feel worse. But they found out he didn't have a heart attack like we thought might have been happening (he had stints put in a few years ago) but he did have some fluid around his lungs. So they gave him some meds for that, & sent him on his way! Praise the Lord that it wasn't more serious than that..this family has been through WAY too many sicknesses & surgeries!

My Fantabulous Weekend (#1837577599)

So, yet another killer weekend!

We'll start with...hmm...Wednesday though.

Well, maybe Tuesday.

Tuesday evening, I text my dear friend Mitchell to see if he was doing "No Shave November" (he already has a full on beard, btw.) ...I wanted to see if he'd be ZZ Top by the end. After some joking texts, he mentioned us going out to eat sometime. So I'm think oh, probably down the road...no. He says let's meet tomorrow! I'm all for it so that's what we did. We both love Chinese so we went to the one in Rainsville since we both have class at 6 my time. So he met me at the school, we head on over to the restaurant, we chit, we chat, we laugh, we spend wayyy too much time there & I end up late for class..it was a wonderful time. He's a big ol' teddy bear! Such a sweetheart. Anyways, after class (I got out early! WHOO!) I make the longggg trek back to good ol' Bryant..home sweet home. (:

Thursday, I went to the doctor's office with Mom. Me & Shelby had planned to maybe go eat at Jo Mama's (a sort of healthier place to eat. lol) before we went to walk & work out but Mom was at the doctor sooo long I just had time to meet Shelby to walk/Zumba. We went down to Four Fields, so a super hot runner & went on to Zumba after walking 2 miles...it felt good! We worked out pretty hard, then came on home after picking up some Subway for dinner (:

Friday around noonish I went over to have movie day with Alicia Black! We were gonna watch a few movies but that just turned into watching 10 Things I Hate About You (one of my Top 5 favorite movies!!!) and eating a lottt of candy. And fighting with her little sister, Lindsay. lol After about 5 hours, I headed home (sadly!) & went to get ready for the singing! Blake hadn't made plans yet for sure but I decided to go to Trenton's singing  whether he did or not. lol The always amazing New Harmony & the wonderful Virtue was singing...they did really good. And Alicia's group had their first Non-Griffin singing & they did really good too! So proud of her (: Anywho, after an amazing intermission (who knew you could pour roast beef over slices of bread & it would be so delicious!!!???) we went back into the church & apparently Blake got ready to go. Which was fine with me cause I was kinda tired. lol So we just headed on home (:

Saturday night, Me, Shelby & Blake met up with our Rising Fawn friends at Ichiban in Chattanooga for Abby's 18th birthday party! It was a lotttt of fun & the food was of COURSE delish! (Shogun is better to me, but can't beat any Japanese food!) After we ate & had a wonderful Fiona cupcake (OML...sooo gooooooddddduuuuhhhh!!! lol) we went over to Amber's house to watch the final Harry Potter movie! Ever tried watching a movie with 18 other people? It's interesting. lol The movie was amazing & around midnight, we headed home!

Sunday morning I was supposed to go to Scottsboro with Shelby but it didn't work out for me. So I ended up going to Higdon which ended up being a blast! I had a lot of fun & I really love my Higgy folks! They're sweeties! (: Anyways, after that, Blake headed to Villa Rica but took me home so I took a nap until church tonight. We had a good service, Holly prayed really good, & we talked about the new church. I'm telling you, my church is DEFINITELY getting ready for a revival...& I'm trying to as well! I'm hoping this will be the one that I make it in! All Uncle Larry kept saying was how we needed to love each other & draw closer together & be READY for this revival...even us lost ones. So that's what I'm gonna try to do! So as many of y'all that can should come & join my church, Bro. Jack Kelly (hopefully!) & Bro. Matt Long for our revival first weekend in December...not only do you get to see our beautiful brand new TOTALLY DIFFERENT church...but you get to see me (; hahaha. Frill though, ya'll come! We'd love to have ya! (:

So that's about all right now.
I guess I'll be getting ready for the next week...Walking, Zumba, Workouts, Class & maybe a little fun in all that (;

Parties, Singings & Weddings..Oh my!

So far it's been yet another eventful weekend!

So Friday I woke up around 11:30, had some brunch, went to work out & get something new to wear (I'm a girl, come on..don't judge me!) for the singing at Rocky Branch! I bought a shirt & flats, went home, tried the shirt on...the sleeves were totally messed up! One was wayyy small & the other was wayyy big! Agh! So, I jumped BACK into the car & got another shirt. I was supposed to be over at the shop at 4:30 to help decorate for Alexis's Super Surprise Party (it was a month late!) but I didn't even make it over until 5:30 (when everyone was supposed to get there!) Luckily, there wasn't much to do so I was in the clear! I went to the party & at 6:30, Seth came to pick me up so we could head on to the singing. (I know, I know, I'm a horrible best friend! But I can't help that I'd already been planning this for a week when Kris told me about the party!) We weren't positive about how to get there, so we met Shelby, Hannah & Bre in Rainsville to follow them the rest of the way...apparently Shelby took the longggg way around cause instead of the normal hour & ten minutes to get there it took over an hour & a half I'm pretty sure. But that hour & a half felt like FOREVER! It was horrid! Although we did have quite a good time singing to the top of our lungs! Anyways, we got to the singing & I waited out in the foyer for Morgan, Raeven, Nathan & Jarrod to get there. They finally did, & we decided to go stand on the wall. Well, apparently Jarrod got side tracked & didn't come when we did...so he ended up standing back in the foyer...alone...most of the singing. Anyhow, after first half was over, I went back & was talking to the PG group & Seth...they were gonna leave! So I suggested that we go grab some food. It was intermission, anyways! So after about 20 minutes of trying to make a decision, we head on over to Chik-Fil-A in Albertville! And we laughed the WHOLE time for real! Especially when Jarrod is talking pretty loudly & he leans over & whispers "handling serpents..." it was SO stinkin' funny! I guess more of a you-had-to-be-there moment. But still. We had a blast & over an hour later, we headed home! I sang VERY loudly & probably mostly off-key, all the way home just to try & keep Seth awake. We had fun! We got home around midnight & I pretty much went right to bed as soon as I got home...well, after I recounted the whole night to my mother, of course. haha.

I woke up around 11:30 again this morning, cleaned up the house some, & not too long after, started getting ready to go to Erik & Kylee's wedding...it was BEAUTIFUL! I loved where they had it at, the theme, the colors...EVERYTHING! And the reception was SO cool! Everything was all antique-y looking ...it was just a TON of fun! They had super cute stuff too. Their program was awesome because it had information on everyone in the wedding party & their advice for the future Mr. & Mrs. Aragaki!

 It was so cool! And in the reception, everyone got a cupcake & a box to put it in if you didn't want to eat it right then! And a super cute thank you note! (;

 And instead of throwing rice, everyone got a couple of sparklers to light as they ran through! Agh! *one of mine fell out. lol*

It was so awesome, for real. Probably one of the cutest, most beautiful, fun weddings I've ever been to! And of course I LOVE Mr. & Mrs. Aragaki as well so it was so awesome to see them finally say "I Do!" If you guys are reading this, I love you guys & I wish you SO much happiness from here on out!!! :D

After the wedding, and seeing Kylee & Erik off with the cutest sparklers, we left to supposedly go to Sweet CeCe's...that turned into "Hey, let's just go to Bridgestreet!" So that's what we did! We met Zachary, Sarah & Amber at Sonic in Hampton Cove & they piled in our car & we headed that way with Kris's Armada full of people. Kris, Starla, Sandy, Beth, Hunter, Cady Ann, Alexis & Taylor! We were gonna go to Orange Tree but Beth reallyy wanted an apple from Chocolate Crocodile...I was all too happy to oblige, considering I've never been able to go! So we headed on over & I was overwhelmed with all the treats! I just picked pretty much the first thing that caught my eye...a Monster Chocolate Peanut Caramel Apple, (oh yes!) and had it sliced up..it was SO good! I'm not a big fan of green apples, but it was a nicely sour contrast to all that sugar on top! I didn't think to take a pic before we tore into it so this is a picture from when I got home...now remember, Zachary, Taylor, Blake & Me had all ate off this thing..oh, and Mom. So I didn't eat it all alone! lol 

After that, we just walked around Bridgestreet & of COURSE Blake had to go to Ulta! So we went in there & made fun of all the posters of "sexy" men for their cologne... (most of them looked VERY feminine...NOT sexy!) And after that, we went into Old Navy...One of my FAVORITE stores in the world so I just couldn't hardly look at anything..I wanted it all! lol So pretty soon, we got outta there & headed home. Took Zach, Sarah & Amber back to Sonic in Hampton Cove & headed home... randomly trying to beat Zachary through the whole trip. lol  It was a really chill, cold, fun night! (:

Halloween Weekend (:

'Twas the Friday night before Halloween, & of course, I went to a party. (:

Hilly G's in fact & it was a lot of fun! Me, Blake & Brett walked in, glitter flying, into a VERY smokey house...like...hardly can see your hand in front of your face, smokey. lol It was bad...the fog machine was definitely doing it's job! We went on through the line & got some food, scarfed it down & headed outside to breathe. haha. We took some cute pics outside & headed back in because it was FREEZING. After we got back in, we finished watching The Ring & when it was over, put in one of my FAVORITE Halloween movies ever...SCREAM! I LOVE those movies so I was stoked as I sat over on the couch with Ross & pretty much just quoted every line. (: It was a pretty chill time & we left around 11 their time I believe...we were pooped..it had been a long week...DON'T JUDGE US! lol When we went to take Brett back to her car at Higdon church  we were suddenly attacked by a truck of people. haha. It was some people who may remain nameless, going rolling & they asked if we would like to join...we politely declined so we could go to bed & not get frostbite after I warned them of my huge motion sensor lights that we just recently installed, that light up our whole yard...oh yes. (:  Needless to say, we went the ENTIRE month of October without being rolled! haha. 

Saturday morning I had to get up early to do our bake sale again...which I had cooked most of Friday for. I made "Peanut Butter Eyeballs" and a Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake! Mom made a diabetic cake as well. We froze to DEATH up on Lookout Mountain but it paid off...we made almost $1,000 dollars that day alone! That's THREE payments for our church benches! We were SO happy! We had so much fun too! Laughing & telling stories & jokes & going to eat at Hill City Pizza that we so excitedly found just a couple stores down! We love the one at Coolidge so we were stoked to see they had one so close to us! After the bake sale, we were going to go to Netherworld Haunted House in Atlanta with Whit, Seth, Zach & Cody, but thankfully that got cancelled. lol We were then gonna go to Arx Mortis but we found out they were about to head that way so we would NEVER make it on time. So we just turned around & headed to Logan's Roadhouse in Tiftonia (We thank God for that place now!) with plans to go to a haunted house in town & maybe rolling yards. Then it turned into, hey the battlefield is free...let's go there & rolling. So we went to Chickamauga Battlefield to scare the mess out of ourselves. haha. And scare ourselves, we did. After that, it was almost 11 our time so we headed back to Trenton to go get some TP for rolling...but the GPS took us the longggg way around...like, all the way into Lafayette & I don't even know where else cause I fell asleep. lol It was almost 12 when we got to Bi-Lo & we just decided to go home & get some sleep. lol I've never been so happy to go home in my life! I'm telling you guys, I'm turning into an old lady!

Sunday morning we got up & Blake & Mom got ready to go to Rising Fawn. I was so wore out that I just stayed home & made plans to go to church Sunday night. So after cooking breakfast & eating, I went back to bed around 11 & slept until 2:30 (I know, I know) when mom text me to tell me to get up in the next hour & start getting ready. SO I just went ahead & got up & ate some lunch...& got REALLY sick. I don't know why, but I've been doing that a lot lately. Anyhow, I didn't really plan on going to church that night because I felt so bad but I went anyways & I did end up feeling better so that was a plus. After church it was like 10 o'clock & we went to Ella's to eat! We only stayed a little bit & these little kids were driving us CRAZY (I'm talking, one hit me in the face with a hockey mask like three times...ugh!) so we went home. 

Monday was HALLOWEEN!!! I got a text from Ella about putting in an application at Sweet Pea's Daycare where she works so I after cleaning, that's what I did! When I got home from running around down there (background check & all) they called about my background check being back already. hahaha. I had absolutely NOTHING for them to find! Anyhow, I started getting ready to go TRICK OR TREATING! Yes, I'm a five-months-til-21 year old & I went trick or treating!!!  haha It was SO much fun! I went with Hilly G, B-Lo, Shelby, Aly Whoop, Bailey Jean & Bee! It was awesome! A group of 18-25 year olds...haha. We got a lot of looks like "Why are these women taking our candy?" and me, Brett, Aly & Hannah were almost auctioned off by this lady to her 2 sons. haha It was hilarious! "Oh, we have a Tinkerbell!...and a NERD! We have a nerd! *I have a nerd, he's sitting on the couch*...Oh! We have a vampire! A vampire!" The sons were just sitting there looking embarrassed the whole time..so funny! We got a good bit of candy & had a good time! So yay for that! And had many bonding moments on the way to Hilly's and home...like singing "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera as loudly as possible... I love my friends (:

(This is the part where I start getting REALLY tired & start rushing through the final days...)

Tuesday I worked & when I got home, I had planned to go to Zumba but Mom informed me that I had to go back to Rising Fawn. So that's what I did. I went back to church, & we got out about 10:15 so we went to Mickey Dee's...we got kicked out around 11:15 in the nicest way possible (by getting free apple pies) & stayed outside a while talking & cutting up with Dolan, Ella, Abby & Haley! Love those guys (:

This morning I got up, cleaned up some, & got ready to go pick up my background check & workout...btw, working out alone with no one to talk to is NO FUN. AT ALL. NEVER AGAIN. Lol Afterwards, I got lunch at Taco Bell (I know! Workout whattt?) & bought Grandmother her first steak chalupa! haha She loved it. (: When we got home, I laid around a bit, cleaned some more & got ready for class! And around 9:30 tonight, I got home...& got a call from Megan begging me to let her come to my house & use the bathroom...true story. haha So she hung out here a little bit & this has lead me up to right now, when I'm about to pass out & wondering why in the world I decided to start this blog tonight? The weekend that wore me out!!!

Oh man, I have been SO tired the past few days...AND I KNOW WHY!
I usually go to Zumba 3 times a week, but this week I only went twice..Monday & Tuesday. My next day would usually be Thursday but since Abby, Ella & Shelby all had things going on & didn't go, neither did I. But I so wish I would have gotten myself up & went anyways because I have totally felt the difference.

Today I got measured & weighed for my first time at Curves since I started! I haven't been on a strict diet like I should have been so I'm guessing that's why I only lost 2 pounds & a couple inches all over...hopefully I can work my tail off this month (agh! Thanksgiving?!) And try & get some more of this weight down! Denise made me feel pretty good about it because she said the first month you usually don't lose a lot of weight or inches since your body is building muscle & pushing the fat out...soooo yeah! I also felt better when I read the weight management book & it said that the next month or so will be about the little things...like going to 3 sessions in one week, or cutting out certain bad things for you...& when I started to think about it, I was like man! 2 pounds isn't too shabby...it could have been nothing at all! And man, I've been going to workout faithfully at least 3 times a week for a month...that makes me proud considering I never could have done that before! And I started to think of when I first realized my arms weren't as jiggly as before...or when my calf muscles really started to show up...or even when I figured out that my butt is getting smaller! hahaha So I guess I AM pretty proud of myself...now I'm ready to get this next month going! (:

But anywho, I went off on a tangent. What I MEANT to talk about was my wonderful weekend! Friday I went with Mom to South Pittsburg & picked up some makeup & stuff for my Halloween costume...that was fun! $30 later, I came home & it wasn't long until I was getting ready for our church Halloween party at Aunt Lisa & Uncle Jamie's! I had talked to Morgan Cain from Pleasant Grove the day before about coming out, but I wasn't sure that she'd want to. I told her to invite Mal, Jared, Nathan & whoever else from her church to join us as well so I found out before I left that her, Raeven, Mal & Jared were coming! I was stoked! So I met them around 8 our time & lead them to Aunt Lisa's house...we pretty much sat around the bonfire & talked the whole time until we decided to go on a hay(less) ride! It was SO cold & pretty lame..haha. But how can you have a Halloween party without a hay(less) ride?! So we all hung out until about 10:30 or so when Mal & them all had to leave... ): But it's okay!

The next day was Saturday. Me & Blake hung out at home all day, had some Subway, & when the afternoon rolled around, we started getting ready to go out to Pleasant Grove! We met up with Seth & picked up Layton & were on our way. I'm super glad Blake ended up going because he got a WONDERFUL blessing that night! (Which means I'll probably be getting to visit PG much more often! YAY!) I really love the people there! They're all so sweet & even though their crowd is much larger, it reminds me a lot of how our church is...so I feel pretty at home there. (: After the service, we went over to Jared's Uncle Jonathon's house & watched the AL game & hung out & talked. Pretty good time there too...except church had got out at 9:30 their time...so that meant it wasn't long until we had to start heading home! Bummer. But it was fun while it lasted!

Sunday morning I was really wanting to go back to PG since I've only been there on 2 Saturday nights. But I had told Blake I would go with him to Toney (which was also VERY okay with me...I've missed Ben & Bailey!) So we headed that way around 10:30. We got there a very few minutes before church started & I saw my other twin (besides MAL) Skyler! People REALLY say we look like twins...I guess we do favor because I'm always getting called Skyler & she's always getting called April! Strange, huh? Anyhow, we sat there during church & it lasted quite some time (as all Toney meetings do!). But finally church was over & we went to have dinner. We still hadn't been sure what we were going to do about that evening... to go back home or to stay out at Toney?...that is the question. Finally we just called mom & told her the news..we were staying for night service! So we went to Bail's house to hang & apparently have a massive let's tickle Bailey fight (Me & Lindz only haha)  while the boys sang songs & Ben played the piano! All too soon, it was time to go back for church. It was supposed to be communion night & it looked like they were going to have it for a while, then suddenly a shout down broke out. After an hour or so, Bro. David called for the 4th neck hugging in a month & yelled out "dismissed!" soon after. I was shocked. Out of Toney before 7:30 their time?! That's crazy! Toney is KNOWN for it's campout meetings! (You know, "might as well bring your pj's cause there's gonna be a campout tonight!") So we headed to Applebee's with Bail, Lindz, Blake C & Ben & the other Chance's! I got a quesadilla burger & it was pretty darn awesome I gotta say! We headed home & was actually home before midnight! Yesterday was just full of record breakers!

This morning, ahem, afternoon, I woke up & was still so tired. I know I could have slept even MORE of the day away had mom not woke me up, but I got up anyhow. I ate brunch, found out the BEST news I've heard in a LONG time (!!!) & then watched Planet of the Apes which we had gotten through Netflix. (VERY weird movie, btw!) Then I cleaned up the kitchen & got ready for Curves. If you don't remember how that went, go to the top of this blog entry! (:

Sweet Taylor (:

Today, God called another one of his beautiful children home! Sweet Taylor went to be with Jesus today & I'm so happy for her!

I'm not going to pretend that I knew Taylor very well. I didn't. But I very much wish that I did.

The first time I really met her was a couple of months ago at Scottsboro. For some reason, she kind of took to me. I kind of was teasing her, trying to get her to sit over with us & she somehow coaxed us into coming to sit with her. I dropped my pizza & told her how embarrassed I was...she assured me no one had seen... (but they had. lol) I laughed so hard that day in the kitchen. Mallory was saying how funny her laugh was so we just sat there trying to make her laugh so I could hear it...then of course I teased the mess out of her for it. And for her country accent. She was so sweet. After that, she IM'ed me on Jared's Facebook account & was asking me if I was coming to Skyline to see her, and I was going to Skyline's singing! She was so excited...she immediately started making plans for us to sit together. "When Jared goes up to play with Steadfast, we can sit together! YAY!" So I told her she better not ditch me & she best hang out with me! We went to the singing & I hardly saw her all night..but in the kitchen she wanted me to come sit with her again...I told her I would later. But I got distracted & never did. I wish I would have. Any time I saw her, she was SO sweet to me. She made me feel special, like I was sooo cool. haha.

It's so hard for me to believe that she's gone now...I can't imagine what her family & close friends are going through. I say "close friends" because even though I didn't know her very well, I've considered her a friend since we first met. Everything I've heard about her has been so wonderful. Such a beautiful, wonderful girl. Heaven sure has gained a precious angel today.. she has no more worries or cares... it really can't get much better than that ya know! She has it made!

Miracles do happen!

When I was 5 years old, I was always sick...I couldn't breathe good & the doctors kept diagnosing me with bronchitis. Finally, one doctor got his facts straight & realized that I had asthma. He sat my mom down & pretty much told her I was going to die. "One day you'll walk in her room, & she won't be breathing", he said. Well, of course that tore my mom up. I was her baby. She didn't want me to die. So she started to pray. Any time it came to mind. She wouldn't watch T.V., if she was washing dishes & the Lord told her to pray, she just did it. Vacuuming- ":pray"...she just did. One first Saturday night it was communion at Brown's Chapel. My brother was sick with the flu & mom told Dad to go on to church (he had just received the holyghost) & she would stay with Blake. After, a little persuading, Dad agreed to go on... "Take April with you," mom told him. She just had a feeling that I needed to be there. So he got me ready & took me on to church with him. I barely remember that night, so this is mostly what I've heard in testimonies. But they said that night I was laying in my Aunt's lap, asleep. You could hear me breathing through the entire church (or TRYING to breathe)...apparently I was having an attack. Once communion began, they woke me up & Bro. Lawrence gave me the communion juice. Dad said you could see as I drank it, that my breathing was changing. That night, the Lord healed me of asthma. And I really don't care if you believe it or not, because I do. And I did even then. I don't know that anyone told me what had happened, but that night, when we pulled up, Mom said she was standing right in the middle of the living room floor. She didn't know why, but she just was. She was waiting to hear what had happened. Mom said that I (as a 5 year old little girl) threw the door open & said proudly to mom "Mama, I'm healed!" I just knew! The LORD did that for me & I KNOW he did. I have NEVER had a problem with my breathing since!

I tell you all of this to prove to you that GOD DOES MIRACLES. There is currently no cure for asthma. So how did I go from having to have breathing treatments every little bit to being able to breath as a normal person would? THE LORD. That's how. For anyone who hasn't heard, Taylor McLain was in a terrible wreck last night & is in VERY bad shape. I don't know how much I should really say about it...but I just want to let everyone know that we need to pray for a miracle. I know the Lord can perform miracles cause he performed one for me! I don't want to get anyone's hopes up & I do realize that if she is supposed to go & be with our Lord, she will! I want whatever is best for her! But even with me not having the holyghost, I believe He can help her! I want so badly for Him to! So if you will pray with me & the many others that are praying for Miss Taylor McLain, it would be so greatly appreciated. Maybe if we all get our hearts towards this one thing, the Lord will heal her too!

We love you so much Taylor! And hope you get better very soon!!!

Hilton Head/Savannah trip! (:

So Wednesday morning around 8:30 we headed to beautiful Hilton Head, SC! We got there around 5 (I think! lol) & went grocery shopping & such before we headed to the beach to check it out! It was so dark that you could hardly see (but the moon was awesome!) & we only stayed out there a few minutes since it was so chilly...but I was sooo excited to get there the next day!

Thursday morning we got up pretty early, ate a really awesome breakfast & went to the beach! It was absolutely stunning! I fell in love right then! (: The beach there is so awesome! It's loose sand at first, & then it's flat the rest of the way. Like, more flat than loose. It's so cool to not have sand blowing all over you all the time!!!

That night we cooked tacos & just hung out at the house playing Phase 10 & such! (Well the boys went shopping of course. lol)

Friday morning we woke up early again & went back to the beach! It was more overcast that day so me & Bailey decided to go walking once we realized our sand castle was probably gonna fail. lol We head out walking...and walking...and walking. Before we knew it, an hour HAD to have passed & there's no telling how many miles we had walked barefoot. It was so easy to walk down the beach, but once our feet began to hurt & we decided to turn around, we figured out that it was NOT as easy to walk back. The whole time the wind had been pushing us forward (making it so easy to walk) & on the way back, we were walking against it! We ended up being gone for over 2 hours, easy. And SO tired when we got back! We decided to go to the pool & try it out...well, it was FREEZING. lol They had it set in the shade & it was not warm at all...like, I went ahead & eased in...I stayed in about 3 minutes & I was shaking. But once I got out, it felt amazing! We layed out trying to get more sun but we didn't get too burnt.

That night we decided to go shopping with the boys at the Tanger Outlets & there were SO many good sales. I could have blew sooo much money but I stopped myself. I ended up getting a cute button up & tank for like $10 at Old Navy...& I was stoked! They had an amazing sale & that's definitely one of my favorite stores ever! When we got back from shopping a few hours, we went back to the house & made little personal pizzas (sooo good!) & back to the beach to look for sand dollars & stuff. Ben actually found one too! And he didn't realize til we were on our way home that it was illegal to pick up sand dollars that are still alive...oops. Once we got out there we were the ONLY ones on the beach...for a little while. Mom was with us & you could tell a storm was coming up, so we were trying to find what we could quickly...a few minutes in about 6 big guys came out on the beach talking to us. I only saw one up close (it was so dark) & he was pretty cute. Lol Then one struck up a convo with Mom. They said they had just gotten there & wanted to check out the beach (just like we did when we first got there)..they seemed harmless enough but soon it started to rain so we ran back to the car & headed back to the house. We ended up playing Phase 10 til like 1 a.m. & then me & Bailey went to our room to watch Friends & quickly fell asleep. 

 Blake jokingly picked up Bailey & accidentally dropped her on the stairs. This is her pouting face. lol

Saturday morning we got up with plans to go to the beach one last good time, & then Savannah that night. But once we set up our reservations for the Old Savannah Haunted Tour & Pirate's House dinner, Dad just decided he wanted to "make a day" of being in Savannah. We were gonna have Alicia meet us because she was on the beach (she was going with us to Savannah) but it ended up where we just met her & picked her up & headed towards Savannah! Well, my feet were still sooo sore from our beach & outlet walking, & I brought ZERO pairs of comfortable shoes (only flip flops & heels that I didn't need). But we decided to stop at the outlets & get some shoes for me...& Ben wanted to pick up some sunglasses at Nike. After FREAKING out cause I couldn't find any comfortable shoes that were a reasonable price, I finally found some Vans. I put them on & they were too long & not too comfortable but I was so tore up by then (I know, tore up over shoes? But I was so miserable!) I just said let's get em. Once I got to the register, they were only $10! Cha-ching! So I got them & some socks (that cost more than my flippin shoes! UGH!) And we headed out again. By THAT time we were all SUPER hungry so we stopped at Wendy's in the middle of nowhere between Hilton Head & Savannah & got some grub! After chilling at Wendy's for a while we finally headed AGAIN to Savannah...& made it this time (: 

We took a tour of Old (Haunted) Savannah & it was SO awesome! When I was looking through my pictures later, I saw a TON of orbs, random lights & even some faces! SUPER creepy! After that, we went to The Pirate House to eat & check out their haunted rum cellar...I felt things in there that I have NEVER felt. They told all the girls to get in this one corner so me, Alicia & Bailey did...immediately the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, it felt like someone was touching my leg, playing with my hair, whispering in my ear, & I kept seeing smoke out of the corner of my eye (that I found out later, Alicia had seen too!) It was sooo strange! (Here's some pics from that!)

That night, Bailey & my nerves were tore up pretty big time, so we didn't end up going to sleep until 4 a.m. even though we were leaving the next morning!

We got up Sunday morning & headed out of town. It was a little rainy so our plans to go to the beach & take sunrise pictures got spoiled sadly. We went to the souvenir shop & picked some stuff up, then got in the car to go eat "breakfast". And hour & a half later we stopped at Zaxby's for our so-called breakfast. But it was gooood (as always!). Then we headed home. We were pooped so we slept a lot of the way...but about the last hour or so we got super hyped & woke up. We got home around 5:45 & hung out at the house until Seth text us to go eat with him. Whitney & Brett went too & we ended up playing bubble gum, bubble gum & double, double..old school stuff man! It was really fun! (: We headed home & I went to sleep around midnight. I slept SO good! Gotta love some good sleep in your own bed (:

The trip was SO amazing & I'm so glad Ben & Bailey went with us! It made it that much more special to get to experience everything with them (: Now, I'm pooped after Zumba & flirting with the ADT guy so I'm probably gonna head to bed. Night ya'll! (:

So my weekend was pretty awesome again! lol

Friday night my cousin Rashae got married to her love, Cody McCreary. Sad night in my life. lol I grew up with her (although she's about 3 years older than me) & I love her to death! But I held it together..only teared up a couple of times. It was a sweet ceremony..pretty laid back..& Cody wrote her a song to sing to her! AGH! I usually don't like that kind of stuff but it was SOOO sweet! Especially since it was a song about them & them spending the rest of their lives together...<3 Anywho, it was fun afterwards too! I was one of eight servers so as soon as we got down stairs me & Hannah BRIDGES (weird, I know.) ran to the cupcake making station. lol So we got THE best job, helping little kids make their cuppy cakes! haha Oh, & some adults... (*ahem* Bro. Barry *cough*) but it was awesome! And about half way through, Loren came & joined Hannah & Shaun came to sit by me. That was interesting. lol Soon, we were also joined by Kacy & Whitney & we were most DEFINITELY the loudest station & had the most fun out of everyone..I'm just saying. (: But by the end of all the running around & the 3 kabillion pictures they took of the bride/groom/family...it was like 11:30 when they got to leave! So I was POOPED. But it was hilarious & fun (:

Saturday morning we got up & got ready to head to Huntsville for JK's surprise birthday party! And I believe I can say he really was surprised! We all met at his favorite restaurant, El Mariachi's right by his house... he came in grinning from ear to ear. I think he was glad to see us! (: After we ate, chatted & laughed, we headed over to their house to hang out. They played some music (I tried to act like I already knew how to play the banjo...it didn't work. ): But I will know soon! (:) & we sang some songs. They attacked Ross...you know, the usual. It was really fun (: Around 4:30 they left for church & me & Blake went to hang out with Benjamin. (: We went to the mall & Dillard's at Madison Square is having a ginormous sale! Like, 65% off almost everything...it was crazy! Sadly, we got there about 20 minutes before they closed so we didn't really have time to look around. Bummer. But Blake & Ben each got some more of their obsession...COLOGNE. It was a really good price too. They were so excited, Blake hopped when he got to the parking lot. And that's very rare. lol After that, we drove around, went to Arby's & picked up some food & listened to the Alabama/Florida game on the radio! We didn't really know what else to do after that since everyone was either at church or at the Haunted Gin & we didn't wanna do any haunted houses so we can save money for the beach... (2 DAYS!!! AGHHH!!!) So we ended up heading home. But when we got around Scottsboro, Blake ended up talking to Aly & she invited us over to her house with people from church to eat pizza, chill & watch Bama whoop some tail. So we were at her house til probably some time around midnight. It was, of course, another great time though! (: Poor JK, though. Diehard Florida fan & had to see us Stomp the Chomp in the Swamp..okay I'm through feeling bad for them! haha. Florida/Auburn fans were being SO hateful about the game! I'm SO glad we won...just for bragging rights. I know I would have NEVER heard the end of it if my team had lost!

Sunday morning we got up & went to Big Cove with our church. We hardly made a dent in the crowd but Ben, Ross, Bailey, Lindz & Garrett came to hang out with us so it was pretty great! And Bailey finally gave me a confident YES to going to the beach with us! So it's gonna be the brother/sister duos! haha Ben, Bailey, me & Blake! Yipee! (: After church was over & we got done eating we went ahead & headed home. I laid down in the back seat & slept so it didn't seem like an hour & a half ride home... (oh, the benefits of having a van now lol) And when I got home, I slept some more. haha I know, very interesting day, right? But I did get to see some of my followers today! So that's exciting! (: Shoutout to the Rogers/Kelly clan! :D Love you guys!

Ah, okay...so now I'm just sitting here listening to like the best invention ever...Spotify, on my new Facebook Timeline! YAYYY! (: I lurv it. But I think I'm gonna watch MythBusters & maybe go to bed? I'm not sure how that'll work. I'm not used to being home so early on a Sunday night! haha. But I guess we'll have to see! I gotta work the next 2 days to make up for not being here the rest of the week...so maybe that'll make the days go by SUPER fast (hopefully not TOO fast..I have Curves & a lot of other things to get together...like PACKING! AHHH!!!) & it'll be Wednesday morning & we'll be leaving for Hilton Head, SC! I know I've talked a lot about it on here, Facebook, & Twitter. But you guys have to understand that my family NEVER gets to go on vacations! Especially not to the beach! So 5 days in Hilton Head is going to be absolutely AMAZING! I can't wait! (:
